Day 25: Thurso – John O’Groats
“Movin’ on up”
Another relaxing start to the day as we were nearly at the end of the road!
With time on our side we visited the Castle of Mey, home to the Queen Mother. Met by a delightful woman who had worked for the Royals and who had endless stories to tell us …. “have I told you the one about …..”, “oh, another sad story was the one about….” – 45 minutes later we managed to progress from the entrance hall to the sitting room. More stories followed necessitating a hasty exit!
Very windy final section of our 1,100 mile journey.
Met by our husbands and wives, bunting and plenty of fizz!! 🍾🍾
Very emotional.
A long, truly amazing adventure had come to an end.
The power of positive pedalling got us there!🚴♀️💕💕
