Day 19: Crianlarich – Fort William
“Ain’t no mountain high enough”
Early start. 5 mile cycle for breakfast at the well known Green Wellie stop in Tyndrum. Rendezvous with the ‘boy’s’.
A challenging cycle. Long uphills, busy roads but scenery out of this world as we went over Rannock moor and on to Glencoe. Every direction brought an even more stunning vista.
Waves from Cath’s sister driving in opposite direction heading into Glencoe.
Welcome coffee and scones at Glencoe coffee set us up for the last leg into Fort William. All wined and dined at Premier Inn. Had fun with our new Chinese pump. A scary object!

Day 20: Fort William- Fort Augustus
“Trains, boats and planes”
We saw them all. Old fashioned steam train chugging along, low flying jets, and best of all, boats journeying up the loch gates. Girls went their own way as spent time soaking up the scenery and taking photos. Came across two local celebrities who were refurbishing and restoring the Invergarry Station.
Great board and lodgings at Morag’s Lodge. Met reincarnated ’Troggs’ in the bar who kindly donated to my just giving page after hearing why I was doing the trip. Lots of funny stories and advice about following days route.
